Anyone with a real Christmas tree can bring it to one of Northampton Borough Council's shredding events for composting.

The first is on Wednesday, 6 January at B & Q on Towcester Road between 10am and 3pm. The second is on Saturday, 9 January at Billing Garden Store, The Causeway also between 10am and 3pm.

For people who can’t make those two days, they can recycle their Christmas tree by putting it in the skip that will be available at Billing Garden Store from 4 until 11 January or take it to the Household Waste Recycling Centres.

Our next Open Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday 9th December at 7.30pm at the B.B.O.B. Rugby Club, St Andrews Road.

Following our Annual General Meeting back in September it was agreed that the [Semilong Community] Forum would no longer hold open meetings each month but would hold them quarterly.

It was felt that as a group we could achieve more by having less public meetings to enable us to focus on particular projects. At our next open meeting on the 9th December you can come along and find out what we have been doing and what our future plans are.

Council tenants in Northampton are being invited to a drop in session this month about proposed changes to their housing tenancy agreement that will update and spell out more clearly their rights and responsibilities as a tenant.
The revised agreement introduces some new clauses that tenants need to be aware of and proposes changes that update and clarify existing clauses.
